About us

Who are Sew Sublime? Sew Sublime started life as Everything Just Sew in April 2004. Originally working from the dining room of the current directors’ home. At that time the business consisted of one industrial embroidery machine, a computer, some design software, and a lot of enthusiasm. Through work carried out for local teams, groups and organisations our reputation for quality goods, and efficient service grew very quickly. At Sew Sublime we always listen to our customers, and it became apparent that ours wanted to be able to purchase printed garments as well as our embroidered range. We moved house, taking the business with us and introduced a range of printing equipment to allow us to produce high quality printed clothing, and a range of personalised engraved and full colour photo gifts, which included mugs, mouse mats, key rings, hand bags and Printed T shirts to name but a few. We soon signed up our first play group and primary school, and acted as sole suppliers for all of their uniform. Through local craft fayres and fetes, our personalisation range also became popular, and our website was launched. Through the website we attracted national business for corporate wear and promotional items, and it became apparent that we were outgrowing our surroundings. In April 2006 the company became incorporated as Sew Sublime Ltd and In July 2006 we opened our town centre retail store in Banbury, Oxfordshire the first Personalisation Shop. Later that month we launched our “All Profit No Hassle Scheme” originally directed at local schools. The idea was to take the work load away from the school secretary or parent volunteers and handle all of the school uniform ordering process from start to finish. This would allow the parents to have easier access to the uniform and allow the school staff to continue working in other areas. The scheme became a talking point and was requested by other groups other than schools. We soon had dance schools, charities, local groups, playgroups, football team, swimming clubs and other organisations joining us, who wanted to use the shops both on line and in store, to raise funds whilst having the ease of purchasing their embroidered and printed merchandise. Local schools also find the scheme very rewarding, and it still goes from strength to strength. We currently have over 5000 members through this scheme. Through recommendations, local advertising on radio and paper form, the business continued to grow rapidly, and turnover increased dramatically. On trying to consistently offer the one stop shop we envisaged for all of our clients, we introduced our vinyl graphics service. This allowed us to produce vehicle graphics, shop signage and pavement signs. We offered a fitting service for all of our vinyl graphics and this became increasingly popular. In 2007 we purchased our first wide format printer and started producing high quality, professional posters and advertising banners and pop up displays, adding to our services offered once again. More staff were employed, but with the two directors very remaining at the heart of the business. We became finalists in the Oxfordshire Business Awards in 2007 after being nominated by a customer for our service and innovative thinking. 2008 has been an exciting year for Sew Sublime with the launch of Personally Gifted at the end of the year a real achievement. We were unable to market our personalised gift range to the high standard which it deserved due to an increased demand from our corporate clients. So in November 2008 Personally Gifted was launched. By recruiting independent agents to work on a self employed basis at high levels of commission, we believe we are making out range of beautiful unique gifts available to everyone. 2009 will see our local auction and classified site launched, which has taken a lot of hard work to bring together. Our Sublime Safety for Schools campaign will also be trialed in early 2009. We are continuing to attract new customers and existing customers are always passing on our details, which to us is the best recommendation. We continue to listen to our clients and provide innovative solutions where possible. With the emphasis on quality items at an affordable price.
